  Disaster Response Update
Two Local Red Cross volunteers once again respond to the call of duty deploying to the storm and tornado affected areas of Florida. Theodore Childress and Jean Piersol are driving the Birmingham Area Chapter's Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) to Florida to provide mass care relief. They will be leaving in the ERV tomorrow morning around 5:00 a.m. from the SEC parking lot. Childress and Piersol of Jefferson County has been providing Red Cross assistance for several years responding to many local and national responses. Those interested in becoming a part of disaster response for American Red Cross should call Volunteer Services at 205-458-8253.
